ABOUT LIMLAK SACCO

LIMLAK SACCO society limited was established in the year 2003 as Limlak Welfare Association that comprised of 11 businessmen operating in Limuru town. They faced common challenges such as lack of capital financing, high interest rates charged by financial money lending institutions, professional business consultations among others. Forming the welfare association aimed at mitigating the challenges by providing cheap finance and holding education seminars aimed at improving their business operation skills.

The name Limlak denotes Limuru, Lari and Kikuyu constituencies. The choice of name was influenced by the fact that the founders hailed from these regions. However, members from other regions were allowed to join the Association.

LIMLAK SACCO transformed from a Welfare Association to a Cooperative Society Limited in 2013 after attaining a membership base of 180 members. The current membership is over 1,000 with an asset base of over Ksh 150 million.
